The next piece of Surveyors UK is for firms. Here’s what’s coming.

Surveying Firms
  • Business Development & Marketing

It has been a busy 2026.

The Surveying Room has passed 750 registered surveyors and continues to grow every day. New members are joining across every discipline – residential, commercial, building surveying, QS, geospatial, valuation, and beyond. The events directory in The Surveying Room community published 30 events in February alone. The podcast has had over 1,500 downloads and over 1,000 YouTube views since December. We have had over 4500 visitors to the site in the last 3 months!

And the marketplace now has seven partners live, with five more joining this month and plenty more conversations in progress. That side of the platform is only going to keep growing.

Here is a snapshot of some of our onboarded partners.

Surveying partners

All of this happened in a short space of time and I am sharing this, because it matters for what comes next.

The next phase of Surveyors UK is for firms.

Everything built so far has been for individual surveyors, students and related professionals. Community. Content. Events. A trusted place to connect with other professionals across every discipline.

That foundation will continue to grow and is the community is the heart of everything we do.

Firm membership is coming.

Not a directory you pay to appear on and hope for the best. Not a lead generation site devaluing the profession and selling surveys to the lowest bidder. Something different, because surveying is undervalued as a professional service and career.

Here is what we are building:

  • A firm directory where practices are visible to surveyors, firms, and eventually the public
  • A jobs board where your roles, apprenticeships, contracts are seen by people already in the profession
  • A referral network — the first of its kind for the profession
  • Team access so your people get CPD, community, and professional development through your membership
  • Featured firms, employer profiles for practices that want to lead, not just be listed
  • Discounts on products and services secured through our marketplace partners

The referral network deserves its own explanation. If you have spent any time on surveying social media, you will have seen it, scattered posts asking “can anyone do an asbestos survey in Birmingham”, “level 2 needed in Bristol”, “expert witness available for a party wall matter in Leeds”. They appear across Facebook groups, LinkedIn, WhatsApp threads, and they disappear within hours.

That work exists. The demand is real. But there is nowhere to match it properly.

The referral network is not lead generation. No one is paying for enquiries. It is surveyors and firms sharing work they cannot fulfil, wrong area, wrong specialism, too busy, not their discipline. It creates a structured way to do what the profession already tries to do informally, and it builds goodwill between firms instead of competition.

Details on pricing and tiers will follow. For now, the important thing is getting your name on the list.

Not just chartered surveyors

This has always been bigger than one professional body or one route to qualification.

Surveyors UK is for everyone who works within and across the built environment – building surveyors, valuers, quantity surveyors, land surveyors, domestic energy assessors, retrofit professionals, party wall specialists, and the many other roles that overlap with surveying every day.

If your work touches property, land, buildings, or the people who rely on them, you belong here. No matter which professional body you sit with. No matter which letters you have after your name. The profession is broader than any single institution, and Surveyors UK reflects that.

Firm membership works the same way. Whether you run a chartered practice, a DEA business, a retrofit consultancy, or a firm that spans several of these, there is a place for you.

Why I am telling you now

Because I am opening a founding firms window before the public launch.

Founding firms get:

  • A permanent Founding Firm badge on their profile in the Surveying Room
  • Current pricing locked for 12 months
  • Named in the public launch announcement
  • A half-hour call with me — your choice: help shape what we are building, or talk through your marketing or AI strategy

Who this is for

If you run a practice of any size, across any discipline, surveying, energy assessment, retrofit, or anything adjacent, this is for you.

Whether you are a sole trader who wants to be found beyond word of mouth, a small firm looking for a better way to recruit, or a growing practice that wants to be visible in the one place the profession is actually gathering — this is built for you.

What to do

Message me directly or email nina@surveyors-uk.com. Tell me your firm name and I will add you to the founding firms waitlist.

The waitlist is open now. Launch is this spring.

If you are not a firm owner but you know one who should hear about this, forward this to them. That matters more than you think.

It all matters

750 surveyors registered and growing every day. 7 partners in Janaury with more on the way. A podcast growing every week. Over 4,500 visitors. And now, firms.

Nothing gets forgotten here. This is an ecosystem we are building – community growth, marketplace, firms. And there is more to come around careers, individual memberships, and working alongside professional bodies. Each piece supports the others. Each one makes the next one stronger.

This is being built step by step, in the right order, for the right reasons.

If you are not in The Surveying Room yet, it is free to join. If you are already there, thank you. You are part of what makes this work.

See you next week.
